Weifeng Zhong is an economist at the American Enterprise Institute, where his recent work has been on the application of text analysis and machine learning to Chinese economic issues. Dr. Zhong has been published in a variety of scholarly journals, including the Journal of Institutional and Theoretical Economics, and in the popular press, such as the Financial Times, Foreign Affairs, and Real Clear Politics, among others. He holds a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in managerial economics and strategy from Northwestern University, master’s degrees in economics from the University of Hong Kong, and a B.A. from Shantou University in China.
