Dr. Chris Pate

Dr. Christopher Pate is an Operations Research Scientist for the Office of Strategic Planning and Analysis, Department of Veterans Affairs. Dr. Pate has over 30 years of professional experience in analytics, resource management, executive administration of military healthcare facilities and business analytics; and, teaching/leadership at several institutions of higher education.

His educational background includes a PhD in Health Policy from the Pennsylvania State University, State College, Pennsylvania; a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University, New York; and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, Georgia. He has been recognized with several academic honors and achievements, including the Chancellor’s Leadership Award, Alamo Colleges, San Antonio, Texas; the Order of Military Medical Merit, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Magna Cum Laude, Georgia Southern University, Georgia; Psi Chi National Honor Society, Georgia Southern University; and Distinguished Military Graduate, Georgia Southern University.

He is currently a professor at Webster University and has taught graduate level courses at the University of Incarnate Word (San Antonio, Texas), Trinity University (San Antonio, Texas), the University of Phoenix (Japan), and the U.S. Army-Baylor Program in Health and Business Administration, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Dr. Pate is a member of the American Statistical Association, American Society for Quality, and the American Health Information Management Association. He is also a Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA).
